Ways to Volunteer with the NAACP McComb Branch
The NAACP McComb Branch is always looking for committed volunteers to help carry out our mission of civil rights, justice, and community empowerment. Here are some of the many ways you can get involved:

Community Outreach & Voter Engagement
- Register voters and canvass neighborhoods.
- Distribute literature and staff community tables.
- Support election protection and Souls to the Polls events.
Criminal Justice Advocacy
- Support campaigns on police accountability and incarceration reform.
- Assist with court monitoring, research, or protest coordination.
Youth Engagement & Mentorship
- Mentor youth and participate in Youth Council initiatives.
- Help plan educational events, college fairs, or youth forums.
Communications & Social Media
- Manage social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Design flyers, create content, and write press releases.
Event Planning & Logistics
- Support the planning and execution of forums, banquets, and meetings.
- Assist with event setup, registration, and hospitality.

Membership Recruitment & Retention
- Host membership drives and follow up with new members.
- Maintain contact lists and assist with renewals.
Legal Redress & Advocacy Support
- Assist with intake for civil rights complaints (if trained).
- Track incidents and help document community concerns.
Education & Economic Equity
- Tutor students and support scholarship outreach.
- Organize workshops on housing, jobs, and financial literacy.
Fundraising & Grant Writing
- Help raise funds from sponsors and donors.
- Assist with grant writing or donor engagement.
Clerical & Administrative Support
- Help with data entry, mailings, and documentation.
- Provide administrative support to branch officers.
